Matt Welch is a country artist from the Grand Rapids, Michigan area who’s quickly building a name for himself with songs that feel like Friday nights, open roads, and stories shared around a bonfire.
After picking up a guitar back in 2006, Matt spent years covering the hits that shaped his love for country music — from ’90s legends to today’s Nashville stars. In 2021, he started writing his own songs, turning real-life experiences, small-town roots, and big-hearted moments into original music that’s 100% his own.
His sound blends modern country energy with the honesty and warmth that fans crave — influenced by artists like Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Jake Owen and Riley Green. Whether he’s playing an intimate acoustic set or lighting up a Michigan stage, Matt connects with every crowd through relatable lyrics, sing-along hooks, and a genuine love for people.
Now splitting his time between Michigan venues and Nashville stages, Matt’s mission is simple: write songs that bring people together.
